Whether you are camping in a caravan, tent or motor home, the establishment has large pitches (165 m² on average), shady or sunny depending on your taste.

For a more comfortable and less traditional holiday, La Garangeoire campsite offers pitches with private sanitary facilities or a bivouac perched on stilts, ideal for cycle tourists. To take advantage of the peaceful surroundings, you can stay in recent and comfortable chalets and mobile homes which are also situated on large plots delimited by hedges. For a carefree and stress-free holiday, discover the mobile homes, located in a privileged area, including Premium services that will delight the whole family (beds made on arrival, towels and bathroom linen provided, internet connection etc.).

Visit Vendée

Next to an old town house that was later turned into a château, explore an estate that's an integral part of Vendée's history. In between lounging around and enjoying a harbour walk, you can visit the vineyards, the Salt Route or the Montgolfières du Bocage (hot air balloons).

Explore the Côte de Lumière in Vendee

Your stay in Vendee in Saint-Julien-des-Landes will take place in the mild microclimate of the Côte de Lumière. Between the coast, the fine sandy beaches, the marshland and preserved natural spaces, you can discover long cycling trails giving access to all the rich history of the region.

Begin your journey at the Garangeoire campsite and cross the beaches and ports of Vendee. Ideal for relaxing, the Dunes, Normandelière and Sauzaie beaches are near Brétignolles-sur-Mer and have a wide range of leisure activities for visitors. The rocky coasts are equally attractive for surfers. Not far away, you will find the beaches of Sables-d’Olonne, St-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie, Veillon beach in Talmont-Saint-Hilaire, Mine beach in Jard-sur-Mer (35 km) and Dames beach on the island of Noirmoutier (70 km).

A region rich in islands and history

Set off to encounter the islands of Vendee. The island of Noirmoutier and Ile d’Yeu (85 km) have unique landscapes for you to explore. Back on the mainland, discover the historic heritage of the region, particularly marked by prehistory, the Middle Ages and the war in the Vendee during the French Revolution. The megalithic sites of Ile d’Yeu, the Logis de la Chabotterie manor house in St-Sulpice-le-Verdon (50 km) and the Château du Puy du Fou (85 km) still bear witness to this heritage, together with abbeys, Romanesque and Gothic churches, and the Historial de la Vendee museum.

Family leisure activities in Vendee

For your leisure activities, set off with your family to the Grand Park of the Puy du Fou with its unique themed performances. Visit the Fiefs Vendéens vineyards, where you can taste the regional wines – ideal with seafood from the Vendee coasts. Other vineyards, such as the smaller ones in Vix and Pissotte (97 km), are also well worth investigating, as is the cellar of the Maison Mourat in Mareuil (45 km).

A wealth of parks and gardens await our visitors, from the Potager Extraordinaire in La Mothe-Achard to the Jardin des Olfacties in Cöex, via the Jardin du Vent in Notre-Dame-de-Mont (45 km) and the Parc Floral de la Court d’Aron in St-Cyr-en-Talmondais (50 km). You can then set out with your family along the Salt Road, discover the salt marshes by boat, the birds in the Cité des Oiseaux in Landes-Genusson (80 km), the dragonflies in the Maison des Libellules in La Roche-sur-Yon and the butterflies on the Ile aux Papillons in Noirmoutier.
