Discover the Region
Stay in the Dordogne hamlets
Visit two unique parishes, Saint-Crépin-Carlucet, from Les Peneyrals campsite. One lies on the fortified Carlucet hill site whilst the other is nestled in the valley. The two parishes were united in the 19th century to form a market town surrounded by Dordogne hamlets.
The Roman Byzantine Carlucet Church is one of the oldest churches in the Périgord with an unusual cemetery next to it. You’re sure to be drawn into the exciting history of the stunning Château de Lacypierre.
Foodie breaks in the Périgord Noir
The canton of Salignac around the village is brimming with cultural, gourmet and historical treasures in the heart of the Périgord Noir. Go on a hike and soak up the stunning heritage sites including the Manoir d'Eyrignac grounds. You’re minutes away from Sarlat, the Vézère and Dorgogne valleys. Sample all the local produce the region has to offer from its lush land peppered with footpaths.
Unique walks on discovery trails
Most of these areas have discovery trails and miller paths through the valleys of Borrèze, Chironde, Inval and Sireyjol. Don’t forget to visit Quercy’s traditional drystone huts, some of which date back to the Middle Ages.
